All regular meetings shall be held in Council Chambers. In the event that a special Council meeting is called as provided in Article II, Section 3, of the City Charter and it is determined by the President of Council or by a majority of the members of Council by vote at a regular meeting that, due to extraordinary public interest in the subject matter to be discussed at the special Council meeting, the Council Chambers are not adequate in size to accommodate all interested citizens who may wish to attend the special meeting, provisions for an alternate meeting place may be made.
The site for the alternate meeting place shall be chosen by a majority of the members of Council.
When the alternate site is chosen, announcement shall be made in a newspaper of general circulation in the community at least two weeks prior to the meeting. Notice of the alternate meeting place shall also be posted in conspicuous places throughout the City.
