345.01 DEFINITIONS.
   The following words and phrases, when used in this chapter, unless otherwise provided, shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section:
   (a)   "Crosswalk" means that portion of a driveway or parking area on public grounds distinctly indicated for a pedestrian walk or crossing by lines or other markings on the surface.
   (b)   "Public grounds" means all real property within the City owned, controlled or in the possession of the City, the Board of Education of the Euclid City School District, the Euclid Library Board, any religious organization for school purposes, or any public body, political subdivision or library board, excepting dedicated streets and highways. Such public grounds including parking areas, approaches, driveways and sidewalks.
   (c)   "Traffic control sign" means all signs, markings, signals and devices not inconsistent with this Traffic Code, placed or erected on public grounds for the purpose of regulating, warning or guiding traffic.
   (d)   "Sidewalk" means that portion of public grounds intended for the use of pedestrians.
