No person, corporation, partnership, joint ventures company or association shall own, promote, operate, manage, conduct or sponsor any exhibition, convention, trade show, fair or similar type of exhibition or event in the City at a convention center, exhibition hall or auditorium, without having first made application for and been issued a license pursuant to this chapter.
