In accordance with the procedure and with the approval of the chief appointing authority of the City, the Commissioner of Buildings may appoint such inspectors, assistants and other employees as shall be authorized from time to time. He or she may deputize such employees as may be necessary to carry out the functions of the Division of Buildings. Upon the discovery of a junk or abandoned vehicle, as defined in Ohio R.C. 4513.63, an inspector may record the time, date, location, make, model, vehicle identification number or other identifying feature and place a conspicuous notice on the vehicle and report the same to the Chief of Police or his designee with instructions to proceed pursuant to Section 303.05(a)(2) or Section 303.05(a)(3) of these Codified Ordinances.
