In every building or other structures, or part thereof, used for mercantile, business, industrial or storage occupancy, placards, secured from the Commissioner of Buildings and marked with the safe floor loads approved by the Commissioner of Buildings, shall be securely affixed by the owner of the building or his or her duly authorized agent in conspicuous places where directed by the Commissioner of Buildings.
