§ 90.26 VOLUNTARY ANIMAL REGISTRATION.
   (A)   (1)   Any person(s) residing within the city limits from this day forward will have the option to voluntarily register their canines and/or felines with the city Administrative Offices for a fee of $5. This voluntary registration shall be valud for a period of 12 months from the date of initial registration.
      (2)   The city shall issue an annual license and tag for each canine and/or feline whose owner pays the above registration fee and exhibits current proof of vaccination.
   (B)   (1)   Said proof of vaccination shall display the true and actual breed of said canine(s) or said canine(s) shall be presented for visual verification before the Animal Control. Canines presented for voluntary registration found to be in violation of any standing breed bans will be subject to any breed specific requirements as set forth in this chapter.
      (2)   In the event the license tag is lost, the city shall issue a duplicate tag for a fee of $2.
