A. Charges Established: There is hereby fixed and established a water and sewer connection charge in the amount provided in section 2-6E-1 of this code for the construction of, or addition to, any building or structure within the city which is required to be connected to the water system or sanitary sewer system by section 8-2-2 or subsection 8-3A-5A of this title, or for buildings served outside the city for connection to the water or sewer systems. This connection charge shall be paid prior to the issuance of a building permit for such construction in the city or prior to connection outside the city.
B. Water And Sewer Revenue: Charges herein established shall, when collected, become a part of the water and sewer revenue of the city and shall be so used. (1994 Code § 34-3)
