1226.02 PARK LAND STANDARD.
It is found and determined that parks and recreational facilities are as vital to the public good as are streets and sidewalks, water and sanitary sewerage systems and other required public improvements and physical facilities. Therefore, the public health, safety and welfare require that at least ten acres of property for each 1,000 persons residing within the planning jurisdiction, as defined in this chapter, be devoted to and developed for park and recreational purposes and the same is hereby established as the parkland standard for all purposes of this chapter.
