1321.02  DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)   "General building contractor I" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts for the erection, remodeling, alteration, addition to and repair of buildings or structures governed by this Part Thirteen - Building Code, including the standards adopted in this Part Thirteen - Building Code by reference.
   (b)   "Building contractor II" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts for the erection, remodeling, alteration, addition to and repair of buildings governed by the Dwelling House Code and any and all laws governing one, two and/or three-family dwellings, also provisions of this Part Thirteen - Building Code.
   (c)   "Building contractor III" means a person, firm or corporation who or which engages in masonry and concrete work (brick and block laying, driveways, sidewalks, footers, concrete foundations); remodeling, additions, alterations and repair of one, two and/or three-family dwellings and accessory buildings; or siding applicators engaged in residing of buildings.
   (d)   "Excavating and trenching contractor" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts to dig excavations for basements, footer trenches, trenching for and laying of sewer piping to buildings or structures from point of connection in the public right of way, trenching for utility lines to building or structure. This registration shall be confirmed by the City Engineer.
   (e)   "Master plumbing contractor" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts to engage in the installation, repair or replacement of sanitary fixtures; piping necessary for disposal of wastes; piping for water lines and gas lines; installation, replacement or repair of hot water heaters; installation, replacement or repair of hot water and/or steam heating systems; and installation, repair, replacement or testing of backflow prevention devices.
   (f)   "Electrical contractor" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts to engage in the installation, repair or replacement of electric wiring and wiring for electric heating, fixtures, equipment or devices governed by the Ohio Basic Building Code, the Dwelling House Code and the provisions of Chapter 1361 of this Part Thirteen - Building Code. When an installation of air conditioning units entails duct work and/or the changing of a unit, such phase shall be performed by registered heating and refrigeration contractors.
   (g)   "Electrical Contractor II" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts to engage in the installation, repair or replacement of electrical signs, fire protection equipment or devices, mobile home hook-ups only, ground fault interrupters for swimming pools, alarm monitoring and cable systems.
   (h)   "Sign erector" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts to erect, replace or repair signs advertising the occupancy or business within or on the premises for which a sign is provided. Electrical wiring for signs from fuse panel to sign outlet, shall be performed by a registered electrical contractor.
   (i)   "Outdoor signboard, billboard erector" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts to erect, replace or repair signs advertising other than the use or occupancy of the premises on which they are erected. Electrical work for this category shall be performed by a registered electrical contractor.
   (j)   "Heating contractor" means a person, firm or corporation who or which, pursuant to the Heating and Cooling Code (Ordinance 62-163, passed December 3, 1962) performs installation of gas lines, prefabricated chimneys, cleaning of furnaces, installation of gutters and downspouts and roofing work.
   (k)   "Contractor in demolishing and/or moving of buildings" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts to demolish or move buildings.
   (l)   "Roofer, tinsmith, gutter and downspout contractor" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts to install, replace or repair gutters and/or downspouts and work pertinent thereto, and application of roofing materials.
   (m)   "Lawn irrigation contractor" means a person, firm or corporation who or which contracts to construct, install, repair, wire, maintain or modify any system that connects to the City water system to provide potable water for non-potable uses such as lawns, flowerbeds, shrubs, trees, ornamental ponds, fountains, waterfalls or other similar uses.
