No person shall sell ice at retail except by net weight. A variation on delivery of one and one-half ounce per pound or three-eighths pounds per 100 weight shall be allowed. Every person selling ice at retail shall be provided with suitable scales, spring balances or other apparatus for weighing or scoring the quantity of ice to be sold, which scales, spring balances or other apparatus for weighing or scoring must be adjusted and sealed by the City Sealer.
All ice that is not scored with approved scoring apparatus must be weighed at the time of sale or delivery and all scales used for the weighing of ice for sale at retail must be on proper supports and shall hang clear from the wagon, truck, vehicle or building from which such ice is sold.
