The First Ward shall contain all the territory bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of the Conrail Corporation Railroad and State Route 57 with a point on the easterly corporation line of the City; thence in a southwesterly direction along the centerline of the Conrail Corporation Railroad to the centerline of the east branch of the Black River [Border with 5th Ward]; thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of the east branch of the Black River to the extended centerline of Brooklyn Street [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in a northeasterly direction along the centerline of Brooklyn Street to the centerline of East River Street [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in southerly direction along the centerline of East River Street to the centerline of Yale Avenue [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in an easterly direction along the centerline of Yale Avenue to the centerline of Sherman Street [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of Sherman Street to the centerline of Vassar Avenue [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in an easterly direction along the centerline of Vassar Avenue to the centerline of Garford Avenue [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of Garford Avenue to the centerline of Colgate Avenue [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in an easterly direction along the centerline of Colgate Avenue to the centerline of Prospect Street [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in a northerly direction along the centerline of Prospect Street to the centerline of Baldwin Avenue [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in an easterly direction along the centerline of Baldwin Avenue to the centerline of Abbe Road (S) [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in a northerly direction along the centerline of Abbe Road (S) to the southerly property line of the Chestnut Acres Apartments [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in an easterly direction along the extended southerly property line of the Chestnut Acres Apartments to the centerline of State Route 57 [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in a southeasterly direction along the centerline of State Route 57 to the former northerly limits of Carlisle Township [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in an easterly direction along the former northerly limits of Carlisle Township to a point along the easterly corporation line of the City [Border with 3rd Ward]; thence in a northerly direction along the easterly corporation line of the City to the true place of beginning.
