§ 113.02 LICENSE REQUIRED.
   (A)   Any person who is an itinerant merchant, peddler or solicitor shall obtain a license before engaging in such activity within the village.
   (B)   The fee for the license required by this chapter shall be as set from time to time by the village.
   (C)   No license issued under this chapter shall be transferable.
   (D)   A license is valid for one day and for one person as provided on the license, except that an itinerant merchant may purchase a yearly license. All licenses issued under this chapter shall expire at 1:00 am on the morning after the date of use as provided on the license, except for those itinerant merchants who obtain a yearly license, which such yearly license shall expire at 11:59 pm on 365th day from issuance of the license.
   (E)   If the itinerant merchant is a food truck vendor, such vendor must also provide proof of insurance with a minimum coverage amount of $1,000,000 together with an insurance certificate naming the Village of Elwood as an additional insured. This insurance certificate must remain valid for the duration of the itinerant merchant license. The applicant must further agree that it will hold the village harmless from any and all claims of any kind which result from its use of the designated public parking areas allowed for food truck vendor use as a part of this itinerant merchant license.
