§ 160.04 BUILDING PERMIT FEES.
   (A)    A fee shall be charged by the village for each building permit issued in the amounts set forth below in this section. There shall be charges for items which include, but are not limited to the following: reviewing plans, checking computations, determining estimates, researching specifications, and administrative review based upon a minimum set fee approximating the time necessary to accomplish the tasks as hereinafter set forth:
      (1)   Additional permit fees. In addition to the minimum set fees described in this section herein the following additional fees shall be charged as applicable:

      (2)   Permit fees based on square foot calculations. The building permit fee for the construction, erection, alteration, repair, or addition to any residential or non-residential building or structure shall be determined by multiplying the total gross square feet of area (excluding unfinished basements and cellars) as hereinafter set forth:

   (B)   Upon request of the Building Enforcement Officer, said applicant shall furnish an affidavit as to the approximate cost of such construction. Said affidavit may be requested by the Building Enforcement Officer for up to one year after the completion of construction. If it is later determined that the original builder's or owner's estimate shall be found to be low, then an additional penalty fee of twice the normal amount shall be assessed. In the event said applicant refuses to make or pay such readjustment fees for the underestimate, future permits may be denied by the Building Enforcement Officer.
