In the event the village exercises its authority to cut nuisance greenery pursuant to this subchapter, and along with the notice described in § 95.03(B), the village shall, via certified mail and/or posting, provide the owner of the affected real estate a notice of lien identifying the cost and expense incurred by the village. The notice of lien shall inform the owner that unless the fees charged under this subchapter are paid within 30 days the village will file its lien against the affected real property. In the event the village files its lien, then upon payment of the fees charged under this subchapter, the village shall file a release of its lien.
