(A) No corrosive wastes shall dispose directly into any building drain, building sewer, or village sewer; corrosive wastes shall dispose into an approved neutralizing sump or device of noncorrosive material, so as to make its wastes, vapors, and gases noninjurious to ordinary building drains, building sewers, or village sewers. Neutralizing agents forming only soluble compounds shall be used.
(B) All waste drain and vent pipe and fittings used as carriers of corrosive wastes shall be made of corrosive-proof metal, plastic, chemical stoneware, lead, glass, or rubber. All joints between metal pipes and fittings shall be made with asbestos packing and poured lead joints or standard screwed joints with drainage type fittings. All joints between chemical stoneware or glass pipe and fittings shall be made with asbestos packing and poured bituminous compound. All joints in lead construction shall be welded joints.
