(A) No explosive or flammable liquids such as automobile crank case drainage or other flammable waste product or products that may produce explosive gases shall be permitted to drain into a village sewer, directly or indirectly.
(B) A proper means of drainage shall be provided for all buildings or structures where flammable or explosive liquids or other similar substances are used or handled. All such drains shall be so designed and constructed as to intercept all oil, gasoline, or other flammable liquids or substances, as well as sand, silt, and other solids, for the purpose of excluding them from the sewerage system to prevent them from flowing onto or over any street, alley, or other adjacent paved area.
(C) Such drains shall dispose into an approved sump as required in the Building Code. Each floor drain shall be separately trapped. No trap shall be more than ten feet from the main drain unless it is vented.
(D) Accumulated oils, gasoline, and other flammable liquids or substances, sand, silt, and other solids shall be removed from the sump at intervals necessary to ensure their exclusion from the sewerage system.
(E) The material for vent pipes shall be the same as required for building drains when underground and for soil and waste vents when above ground.
(F) A wash basin or sink in a garage, filling station, or hanger may discharge into the vent pipe from the sump.
(G) No drain shall be permitted in any work pit below the grade or floor level unless the drain can be disposed into a drainage system as required in this section.
