(a) In order to safeguard the public and the property of the public, and to insure the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the Borough, the National Electrical Code, 1993 edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, is incorporated herein by reference thereto, as fully as if set out at length herein, and, as modified by the provisions of this chapter, is hereby adopted as the Electrical Code of the Borough. In addition, whenever the National Electrical Code makes reference to the National Electrical Safety Code published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc., the applicable provisions of the National Electrical Safety Code, 1993 edition, are hereby incorporated herein by reference thereto, as fully as if set out at length herein, as a part of the Electrical Code of the Borough.
(b) Copies of the National Electrical Code and the National Electrical Safety Code shall be kept on file in the office of the Manager. In the event that any provision of this chapter is in conflict with the National Electrical Code, the most restrictive requirement shall apply so as to meet the objectives of this chapter.
