(a) The Council of the Borough of Ellwood City shall conduct a reorganization meeting on the first Monday of January following each Municipal election in which Council members were elected and as provided for in the Pennsylvania Borough Code. The meeting shall be scheduled to convene at 6:00 p.m.
(b) Newly elected Council members shall present to the Secretary/Treasurer their Certificates of Election and Affidavit of Residency, which shall be filed with Borough records. Such newly elected members shall then be administered their oath of office by the Mayor, or other officer, as may be authorized by law.
(c) The members of Council present and so assembled shall elect a President and Vice-President of Council. The Council, being so organized, may transact any further business it deems necessary or appropriate at the reorganization meeting.
