1020.01   STREET LIGHTS AND LUMINARIES.
   (a)   Application. Any person, business, corporation or partnership desiring to install street lights or luminaries shall make application to the Borough through its agents for the installation, erection, operation and maintenance of street lights or luminaries. (Ord. 2082. Passed 12-17-90.)
   (b)   Contracts with Property Owners for Rental Charges. A property owner shall pay to the Borough a rental charge for a 250 watt flood light or street light, which contract shall be for a term of no less than five years. The initial five-year contract shall be as follows:

Installation, fixture and maintenance charge
$15.00 per month
Energy charge
7.00 per month
Approximate total charges
20.00 per month
 
The renewal five-year contract shall be as follows:
 
RENEWAL 5-YEAR CONTRACT
Maintenance charge
$ 7.50 per month
Energy charge
5.00 per month
Approximate total charges
12.50 per month

   (c)   Signatories to Contracts. The contract shall be signed by all property owners owning the property during the installation of street lights or luminaries.
   (d)   Effect of Failure to Pay Monthly Charge. In the event that any monthly charges are not paid, the appropriate officials of the Borough shall file a lien within thirty days of the date of the delinquency and cause said street light to be removed, with all costs assessed to the property owner.
