(a) Lines and/or markings shall be painted or placed upon the surface of metered parking lots, adjacent to each parking meter, for the purpose of designating the parking space for which the meter shall be used. Each vehicle parked adjacent to any parking meter shall be parked within the lines or markings so placed and applicable to that meter. No person shall:
(1) Park any vehicle across any such line or marking;
(2) Park any vehicle in such a position that the vehicle is not entirely within the area designated by the lines or markings; or
(3) Park a vehicle elsewhere in any such lot than in an individual parking space adjacent to a parking meter, except as authorized in this chapter.
(b) No person shall park any commercial vehicle more than 25 feet in length in any lot.
