444.01   PEDESTRIAN-CONTROL SIGNALS.
   (a)   At locations to be determined from time to time by Council, pedestrian-control signals shall be erected.
   (b)   No pedestrian facing a steady signal exhibiting "don't walk" signal shall start to cross the roadway in the direction of the signal, but any pedestrian who has partially completed his or her crossing on a "walk" signal shall proceed to a sidewalk or safety zone while a "don't walk" signal is showing.
   (c)   Whenever a "don't walk" signal is flashing, no pedestrian shall start to cross the roadway in the direction of the indication, but any pedestrian who has partly completed his or her crossing during a "walk" signal shall proceed to a sidewalk or safety zone, and all drivers of vehicles shall yield to the pedestrian.
