§ 32.18 CLERK-TREASURER; ELIGIBILITY.

   (A)   A person is eligible to be Clerk-Treasurer of the town if he or she:

      (1)   Is a resident of the town;

      (2)   Has been a resident of the town for a period of one year prior to the date upon which he or she would assume office if elected;

      (3)   Is a registered voter of the town; and

      (4)   Has been duly certified as a candidate by the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

   (B)   All candidates for election to the office of Clerk-Treasurer must be properly qualified and certified in accordance with state law.
