§ 32.16  COUNCIL MEMBERS; ELIGIBILITY.
   (A)   A person is eligible to be a district member of the Town Council if he or she:
      (1)   Is a resident of the ward from which he or she seeks election;
      (2)   Has established residency in the ward at least one year prior to the date upon which he or she would take office, if elected;
      (3)   Is a registered voter of the town; and
      (4)   Has been properly certified as a candidate by the Clerk of the Circuit Court.
   (B)   All candidates for election as a member of the Town Council must be properly qualified and certified in accordance with state law.
