§ 36.115  COMPENSATORY TIME.
   (A)   The town makes it a policy to provide compensatory time off to employees in lieu of compensation for hours worked above their normally scheduled hours.  Compensatory time shall be calculated in the same manner as § 36.114(B).  Calculating compensatory time is based on actual hours worked.  Time off on compensatory time will not be considered as hours worked.
   (B)   Scheduling the use of compensatory time off shall be at the request of the employee and at the discretion of the supervisor.  Use of compensatory time must be determined in advance of submission of the payroll.
   (C)   Supervisors shall provide the Clerk-Treasurer with an accurate and current record of accrued compensatory time simultaneously with the current payroll.  Supervisors shall provide documentation showing compensatory hours calculated in accordance with this policy.  Employees may accumulate up to 240 hours of compensatory time with the approval of the supervisor.
   (D)   All compensatory time earned should be taken off within the year earned or no later than the December 31 of the following year with the approval of the supervisor or it shall be paid in full to the employee by the end of that year.
