§ 72.04  EMERGENCY CONDITIONS; PARKING PROHIBITION.
   (A)   In the event weather conditions or the conditions of town streets make it necessary for parking on town streets to be prohibited or restricted for snow plowing, snow removal, street maintenance, or related purposes, the Town Council or such person as it designates, as authorized by I.C. 9-21-1-3, shall implement a parking prohibition on part or all of the streets in the town as the Town Council or designated person finds necessary.
   (B)   The parking prohibition shall not be effective until 12 hours after signs have been posted stating the hours in which the prohibition will be in effect.  The parking prohibition signs shall be posted at regular intervals along the streets on which parking will be prohibited so that they are clearly visible along the streets.  The parking prohibition shall terminate at the time stated on the signs or upon their removal by authorized persons.
   (C)   Officers of the Town Police Department are authorized to remove or have removed from a street any vehicle that is parked in violation of this section.
   (D)   Any person who violates the provisions of this section commits a class E ordinance violation and shall be fined.  Each day of violation continued shall constitute a separate violation.
