§ 71.03  THROUGH STREETS; STOP AND YIELD REGULATIONS.
   (A)   It has been determined on the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that certain streets or parts of streets should be designated as through streets and that stop or yield signs should be erected at the entrances to the through streets on specified intersecting streets.
   (B)   The streets described as through streets in the schedule of stop intersections at through streets in Ch. 73, Sched. III, of this code and the schedule of yield intersections at through streets in Ch. 73, Sched. IV, are designated as through streets.  Stop signs shall be erected at the entrances to through streets on the intersecting stop streets specified in the schedule of stop intersections at through streets in Ch. 73, Sched. III.  Yield signs shall be erected at the entrances to through streets on the intersecting yield streets specified in the schedule of yield intersections at through streets in Ch. 73, Sched. IV.
   (C)   Every driver shall stop in obedience to a stop sign erected at the entrance to a through street on an intersecting stop street before entering the intersection and shall yield in obedience to a yield sign erected at the entrance to a through street on an intersecting yield street before entering the intersection, except when directed to proceed by a police officer or traffic- control signal, and shall comply with all other requirements of state law concerning the duties of drivers of vehicles at the entrance to a through highway.
   (D)   A person who violates this section commits a class C ordinance violation, and a judgment may be entered against the violator.
