The standards set forth herein and promulgated pursuant to this chapter are intended to comply with the NPDES storm water discharge permit issued to the town. However, nothing herein shall be construed to ensure that there will be no contamination, pollution, nor unauthorized discharge of pollutants into the waters of the United States.
