8-2-9: ADDITIONAL RESTRICTED AND PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES:
   A.   Selling or offering for sale any article in any city park is prohibited; provided, that refreshments or other articles may be sold by the city or by persons authorized by the city to do so.
   B.   No person shall post, paste, fasten, paint or affix any placard, bill, notice or sign upon any structure, tree, stone, fence, object or enclosure in any park without the prior written permission of the city.
   C.   No person shall distribute or display within any park any circulars, cards or announcements, printed or not, for events other than those sponsored by or with the participation or endorsement of the city when the intention of such activity is to promote a commercial enterprise.
   D.   Gambling or abusive, profane or indecent language, or conduct, in any city park is prohibited.
   E.   Park users must comply with all city ordinances relating to noise 1 and nuisances 2 .
   F.   No person shall disobey any lawful order or direction of any police officer or city official/employee.
   G.   No person involved in any park event or in any use of the city parks shall commit an unfair discriminatory practice, deny another person access to admission to utilization of or benefit from any such events or park use because of race, sex, color, creed, religion, national origin, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
   H.   No person may fire or discharge a firearm within any city park including, but not limited to, paint pistols and firearms that use a carbon monoxide propellant.
   I.   No person may sell or use legal fireworks in a city park. (Elko 2004 Code § 93.05; amd. 2011 Code)
   J.   No person shall injure, damage, destroy, diminish or impair the value of any city park including, but not limited to, buildings, structures, signs, trees, shrubs or vegetation. (Elko 2004 Code § 93.12)
