8-2-5: ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND GLASS CONTAINERS:
The consumption and possession of alcoholic beverages in city parks is subject to the following provisions:
   A.   Consumption And Possession Of Alcoholic Beverages: The consumption and possession of intoxicating liquor, except for wine and 3.2 percent malt liquor, is prohibited in city owned parks.
   B.   Glass Containers Prohibited: Glass beverage containers are prohibited in city owned parks.
   C.   3.2 Percent Malt Liquor Kegs: Kegs and barrels used as containers for 3.2 percent malt liquor are prohibited in city parks, except as follows:
      1.   Groups, associations, or organizations desiring to bring kegs or barrels into city parks may do so only after obtaining a permit for such use from the city.
      2.   The fee for the permit shall be as set forth in the city fee schedule.
      3.   The permit shall be issued by the city park supervisor. The city shall grant the application if, in its judgment, the use for which the permit is sought will not interfere with the health, safety, welfare, and the use of the park by the general public and if the applicant meets all other conditions that may be contained in the permit issued by the city. Such use may only be conducted in areas designated on the permit. (New Market 2004 Code § 6-2-2; amd. 2011 Code)
