(a) Regular Elections. The regular City election shall be held on the second Tuesday in June in each odd-numbered year beginning in the year 2023.
(b) Qualified Voters. All citizens residing within the City as defined by the Charter and otherwise qualified by the Constitution and laws of the State of West Virginia to vote in the City shall be qualified voters of the City within the meaning of this Charter.
(c) Conduct of Elections. The City Clerk is the Chief Election Officer of the City, and is responsible for the free, fair, and lawful conduct of City elections. Except as otherwise provided by this Charter, the provisions of the general election laws of the State of West Virginia shall apply to elections held under this Charter. To the extent that it has not already done so, the Council shall adopt by ordinance all election-related regulations which it considers desirable, consistent with law and this Charter.
