No person shall be in the habit of associating with, or be habitually found in the company of any person known or reputed to be a gambler, pigeon dropper, pickpocket or thief. Upon the trial of any person for the violation of this section, evidence of the habits of the accused and of the reputation of those with whom he or she is in the habit of associating may be given in evidence.
