§ 115.06 DISEASE CONTROL; PROCEDURE WHEN INFECTION SUSPECTED; HEALTH CERTIFICATES.
   (A)   Disease control. No person who is affected with any disease in a communicable form or who is a carrier of the disease shall work in any restaurant or itinerant restaurant, and no restaurant or itinerant restaurant shall employ the person or any person suspected of being affected with any disease in a communicable form or of being a carrier of the disease. If the restaurant or itinerant restaurant manager suspects that any employee has contracted any disease in a communicable form or has become a carrier of the disease, he or she shall notify the Health Officer immediately.
   (B)   Procedure when infection suspected. When suspicion arises as to the possibility of transmission of infection from any restaurant or itinerant restaurant employee, the Health Officer is authorized to require any or all of the following measures:
      (1)   The immediate exclusion of the employee from all restaurants;
      (2)   The immediate closing of the restaurant concerned until no further danger of disease outbreak exists in the opinion of the Health Officer; and
      (3)   Adequate medical examinations of the employee and of his or her associates with such laboratory examinations as may be indicated.
   (C)   Health certificates. No person shall be permitted to work in a restaurant or an itinerant restaurant who has not been given an annual physical examination by a licensed physician. This examination shall include a blood test for syphilis and a tuberculin skin test, and if the tuberculin skin test is found to be positive the person shall be required to undergo a chest X ray. The examination shall also include any other test deemed necessary by the physician to determine whether or not the employee has or is a carrier of any infectious or contagious disease. One copy of this examination shall be filed with the Health Department having jurisdiction. The Health Department shall then issue a food handler's certificate which shall be on file in the establishment in which the person is working.
