§ 73.06  REQUIRED PASSING DISTANCE.
   (A)   An operator of a motor vehicle driving on any public road must provide a minimum distance of 3 feet between the motor vehicle and a bicyclist when passing the bicyclist.  If the motor vehicle operator cannot safely provide 3 feet of distance, then the motor vehicle operator must wait to pass the bicyclist until it is possible to do so while providing the required passing distance.  The driver shall not return to the original lane until the vehicle has passed and is  safely clear of the bicyclist.
   (B)   The Police Department shall enforce the terms of this section and issue citations for violations of this section.
