(A) (1) Upon completion of any installation of electrical wiring and equipment which has been made under a permit, it shall be the duty of the person, firm, or corporation making the installation to notify the Electrical Inspector.
(2)
He or she shall inspect the installation within 48 hours, exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, of the time the notice is given or as soon thereafter as practicable.
(B) Where the Electrical Inspector finds the installation to be in conformity with the provisions of this chapter, he or she shall issue a certificate of approval, authorizing connection to the supply of electricity, and he or she shall send written notice of the authorization to the agency supplying the electric service.
(C) When a certificate of approval is issued authorizing the connection and use of a temporary installation, the certificates shall be issued to expire at a time to be stated therein and shall be revocable by the Electrical Inspector for cause.
(D) (1) When any electrical equipment is to be hidden from view by the permanent placement of parts of the building, the person, firm or corporation installing the equipment shall notify the Electrical Inspector and the equipment shall not be concealed until it has been inspected and approved by the Electrical Inspector or until 48 hours, exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, have elapsed from the time of the notification.
(2) However, on large installations, where the concealment of equipment proceeds continuously, the person, firm or corporation installing the electrical equipment shall give the Electrical Inspector due notice and inspections shall be made periodically during the progress of the work.
(E) If upon inspection the installation is not found to be fully in conformity with the provisions of this chapter, the Electrical Inspector shall at once forward to the person, firm or corporation making the installation a written notice stating the defects which have been found to exist, and the person, firm or corporation making the installation shall make the necessary corrections immediately and call for reinspection.
