(A) Wherever any work or project governed by the provisions of this chapter is being performed or carried on in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter, it shall be the duty of the Inspector to post a printed notice to “stop work” signed by the Inspector, on the premises where the work is in progress and to notify anyone in charge of the work on the premises of the stop order.
(B) After the posting of such notice as required by division (A) above, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to perform any further work on the project until such time as the defects or violations of this chapter have been eliminated, subject to the approval of the Inspector, and the “stop work” sign so posted shall not affect work not governed by this chapter except where the progress of any such work would interfere with the inspection of the work governed by this chapter.
