Signs which provide direction or instruction and are located entirely on the property to which they pertain and do not in any way advertise a business and do not exceed four (4) square feet in area; signs identifying restrooms, public telephones and walkways and signs providing direction such as parking lot entrance and exit signs and those of a similar nature are exempt from the provisions of this chapter; except, that such signs must comply to the line of sight provisions of subsections 8-4-4A1 and E5 of this chapter.
