Permits for electrical work shall only be issued to persons who have obtained and hold a valid license or certificate of registration as an electrician or electrical contractor in the State of Illinois. Current licenses and certificates issued by political subdivisions of the State of Illinois will be acceptable proof of qualification to obtain electrical permits.
