All revenues and monies derived from the operation of the village sewerage system shall be deposited in the waterworks and sewerage fund, a fund separate and apart from all other village funds. The accounting records for the waterworks and sewerage fund shall be maintained on the accrual basis in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and applicable legal requirements. The accounts for revenues and expenditures will be maintained separately within the fund for both the water system and the sewer system.
