6-4-5-4: FIRE LANES:
   A.   Definition: For the purpose of this section, the term "fire lane" shall be deemed to be any street, alley, driveway, roadway, accessway or easement of access, whether paved or unpaved, that is kept, maintained or intended to provide ingress and egress for firefighting vehicles and equipment to or from any building, structure or fire hydrant. A "fire lane" may be publicly dedicated or wholly or partly located on or over private property where the owner has consented.
   B.   Fire Lanes Designated: The following areas and lanes are hereby designated as fire lanes:
Alexian Brothers Medical Center, 800 Biesterfield Road: All areas designated as "fire lanes" on a map entitled "Alexian Brothers Medical Center" which map is hereby incorporated by reference as part of ordinance 2895.
Avalon Banquets, Inc., 1905 East Higgins Road: All areas designated as "fire lanes" on a site plan for the "Avalon Banquet Hall", which site plan is incorporated by reference as a part of ordinance 2141.
Boardwalk Condominiums: All areas designated as "fire lanes" on a map entitled "Boardwalk Condominiums", which map is incorporated by reference as a part of ordinance 1284.
2299 Busse Road, John B. Sanfilippo & Sons, Inc.: All areas designated as "fire lanes" on a map entitled "J.B. Sanfilippo Building", which map is incorporated by reference as a part of ordinance 1902.
Carroll Square Apartment Complex: All areas designated as "fire lanes" on a map entitled "Oakton Street Carroll Square", which map is incorporated by reference as a part of ordinance 846.

Elk Grove High School At Arlington Heights Road And Elk Grove Boulevard: All paved areas within twenty one feet (21') of any curb (curbs which form a part of a parking divider or separator island shall not be considered as such for purposes hereof).
Elk Grove Office Plaza: All areas designated as "fire lanes" on a map entitled "Elk Grove Office Plaza", which map is incorporated by reference as a part of ordinance 935.
Elk Grove Park And Shop: All paved areas within fifty feet (50') of either the front or rear exterior walls of the principal building of the shopping center and all areas within twenty feet (20') of the exterior walls of the Elk Grove Bowl building.
Elk Grove Town Center, 900 To 1050 Arlington Heights Road: All areas designated as "fire lanes" on a map entitled "Elk Grove Town Center", which map is incorporated by reference herein, as a part of ordinance 2685, copies of which are on file in the office of the village clerk.
Elk Grove Townhome Condominium Estates Parcel C: All areas designated as "fire lanes" on a map entitled "Townhome Condominium Estates Parcel C", which map is incorporated by reference as a part of ordinance 936.

   C.   Parking Prohibited In Fire Lanes: It shall be unlawful for any person to park, stand or otherwise allow a vehicle to be in a stopped position or to block or obstruct wholly or partly any of the above designated and posted fire lanes.
   D.   Signs Posted: Fire lanes designated herein shall be posted with signs approved by the chief of the fire department and shall be purchased, installed and maintained by the owners of the property where said signs are located.
   E.   Penalty: Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense.
