The board of trustees may remove the village manager at any time by a majority vote of its members. At least thirty (30) days before such removal becomes effective, the board of trustees shall furnish the manager with a written statement setting forth its intention to remove him and the reasons therefor. If requested by the manager, the village Mayor and board of trustees shall grant him a hearing during this thirty (30) day period.
