DAY CARE HOMES: Family homes which receive more than three (3) up to a maximum of twelve (12) children (if they are in compliance with section 406.13 of the DCFS licensing standards and regulations) for less than twenty four (24) hours per day. The maximum of twelve (12) children includes the family's natural or adopted children and all other persons under the age of twelve (12) years. The term does not include facilities which receive only children from single households.
