The Board of Trustees consisting of six (6) members, shall be elected from the Municipality in an at large election to office for a four (4) year term. The term of office shall commence at the second regular meeting of the Corporate Authorities in the month of May, after receipt of the regular Municipal election results at which the Trustees were elected. The Board shall be the Legislative Department of the Village government and shall perform such duties and have such powers as may be delegated by statute to it. Members of the Board of Trustees shall take the oath of office as prescribed by statute.
