A. This section regarding the telecommunications infrastructure maintenance fee ordinance is repealed in its entirety, effective January 1, 2003, to be replaced by the Simplified Municipal Telecommunications Tax Act, being 35 ILCS 636/5-1, et seq.
B. If Public Act 92-0526, entitled the Simplified Municipal Telecommunications Tax Act, being 35 ILCS 636/5- 1, et seq., is repealed or becomes ineffective for any reason, or if this section is repealed or becomes ineffective for any reason, then ordinance 2597, passed October 14, 1997, as it pertains to this tax shall be deemed in full force and effect as of the date Public Act 92-0526 or this section is repealed or becomes ineffective.
