Except where otherwise expressly provided, all businesses, occupations, trades and activities desiring a license required in or by this Code shall make application for that purpose to the Finance Department, which application shall set forth the full name and address of the applicant or applicants, the type or kind of license desired, the location or proposed location of the place of business, occupation, trade or activity for which the license is sought and such other information which may be required by this Code.
The Finance Department shall maintain records of all applications for licenses which, under provisions of this Code, are required to be filed with that office.
