There is hereby established a foreign fire insurance board of the village. The members of the board shall consist of seven (7) members, one of whom shall be the fire chief; the remaining six (6) voting members, who shall be elected at large by the sworn members of the department. All sworn members of the department shall be eligible to vote for and be elected as officers of the board. The members of the board shall annually elect officers. These officers shall be a chairman and a treasurer. This board shall exercise the powers in accordance with the agreement entered into between the village and the foreign fire insurance board on file with the village clerk's office. The members of the foreign fire insurance board shall serve without compensation.
