For the convenience and welfare of the public and an economical and orderly regulation of parking automobiles and other vehicles in the city, it is determined and ordained by the city that parking will be restricted as set out in Ch. 75, Schd. VIII, of this code of ordinances installed and operated on streets, public ways and parking lots of the city, which will be known as the parking meter zone.
