Every resident motor vehicle operated in the town, except motor vehicles temporarily operated for a period or periods of time not exceeding a total of 30 days during any one year, shall be annually assessed an annual $5 registration fee. The fee will be added to vehicle tax bills. The period of registration shall include the 12 months from January 1 to December 31.
