To aid in the prevention of sanitary sewer blockages and obstructions from contribution and accumulation of fats, oils and greases into the sewer system from industrial or commercial establishments, particularly food preparation and serving facilities. Clogged pipes must be cleaned out manually by the Public Works Department resulting in an unnecessary burden on the town as a result of having to employ the time, manpower and equipment needed to do the cleanout and restore the sewer system to normal operability.
