§ 51.069 CONDITIONAL DISCHARGES INTO SEWERS.
   (A)   Any waters or wastes discharged by any person which have the following characteristics may be admitted into the sanitary sewers conditionally:
      (1)   A B.O.D. greater than 300 milligrams per liter by weight;
      (2)   Containing suspended solids of more than 500 milligrams per liter by weight; or
      (3)   Having other characteristics prohibited under § 51.067.
   (B)   Where waste discharges exceed these limits, the person discharging the wastes shall provide, maintain and operate, at his or her expense, the preliminary treatment as may be necessary to effect compliance or he or she shall contract with the town whereby the town will receive the untreated wastes and shall be compensated by the persons for providing the necessary treatment at the town’s treatment works. The conditions under which the town may agree to accept the untreated wastes shall be established by the approving authority as applying to all persons under the contracts.
   (C)   Notice shall be given the approving authority when normal operations of the industry will be interrupted for 24 hours or longer and wastes will not be available for discharge or when a change of process is contemplated.
