If any provision of this subchapter is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, the provision shall be deemed a separate, independent provision and the holding shall not affect the validity of any other provision hereof, and to that end, the provisions of this subchapter are hereby declared to be severable.
